Flu Season & Lupus
There are some extra precautions that we, as Lupus Fighters, can take against the flu. In addition to hand washing it is recommended that Lupus patients get a flu shot. We are at higher risk of getting the flu and at higher risk of complications from the flu. The vaccine is dead and can not give you the flu. If you do get sick, your doctor may want to temporarily adjust your meds to help you fight it.
Halloween
Halloween is coming up and there are several things you can do to celebrate the holiday while supporting Lupus Awareness and Lupus Research. You can hand out youth wristbands to trick-or-treaters, go trick-or-treating for donations, display a Lupus Awareness Pumpkin, etc. However you celebrate, we encourage you to involve Lupus Awareness or Lupus research.
Donations
This month in addition to our normal contributions to Lupus Charities, we made special donations to The Lupus Foundation of California, LFA - Cleveland, LFA - Pacific Northwest, Louisiana Lupus Foundation, The LFA Research Fund, and LFA - Kansas on behalf of our customers. If you would like a donation made in your name simply place an order and enter your group's coupon code found here.
