Write Your Legislators

There are several issues being debated by our legislators right now that can greatly affect Lupus awareness, research and patient care.  We encourage you to learn about these issues and contact your Senators and Congress people to let them know what you think and how important Lupus awareness and research are to all Americans.  Some of the issues that affect Lupus are: Health Care, Prescription Drug Access, Lupus Patient Registry, NIH Lupus Research, National Lupus Education Program, DoD research, and the Surgeon General's Report.

Halloween & Lupus

We are always looking for new and fun ways to promote Lupus awareness.  This Halloween you can help spread Lupus awareness while celebrating the holiday.  We are once again offering Purple Ribbon Jack-O-Lanterns that are reuseable year after year.  You can also trick or treat for Lupus by collecting donations instead of candy or you could hand out Lupus Awareness Wristbands to trick or treaters.  There are several fun ways to celebrate the Halloween holiday while promoting Lupus awareness.

Donate to our Walk Team

September 26th we will be walking for Lupus awareness and research in Des Moines, Iowa.  There is still time to donate to our walk team and help us raise more money for Lupus awareness and research by visiting our Team's walk page.  We would like to thank those who have already donated as well as those who attened the event at HuHot.  We also encourage everyone to get involved in a walk near you.  There are many walk events around the country that can be found on our Lupus Events Calendar.
