New Blogs

Last month Kendra started a blog to write about her daily trials and triumphs.  This month we added a third blog, The Lupus Research News Blog.  This is a blog where we post all the most recent news related to Lupus.  Using this format allows users to get these updates sent to their email, phone, or feed/blog reader.  We also put a widget on our front page that shows the latest title, allows users to subscribe, and is available for you to post on your blog, website, social networking profiles, etc.   If you have Lupus News you would like posted, email it to webmaster@cure4lupus.org

Twitter

Twitter is the hottest thing on the Internet right now and we like finding new ways to reach out to the Lupus Community and to spread Lupus Awareness.  You can follow us on Twitter here.  We post everything from what we are feeling or doing at the moment, to the latest news, to the new things you can find on Cure4Lupus.org, and more.  This week we participated in a contest to win $20,000 for your charity.  We have learned about many Lupus websites, news stories, and more from Twitter.  If you haven't tried it, we recommend you do so that you too can participate and learn in this way.

Join our Walk Team

It's that time again, we are starting our third annual Lupus Walk  fundraising.  We have been pleased with the support from our readers in the past, and we are calling on you  again this year.  If you don't have a Lupus walk near you, this is a great way to still be able to participate and raise money for Lupus. You can Join our Team as a virtual walker.  Visit our team page, and register as a participant.   You can then personalize your own webpage that your friends and family can see and donate to your total.  There are also email template for you to send to your friends and family.

Zazzle

This month we also opened a Zazzle store.  In this online store you can find hundreds of products with our Lupus Awareness Designs on them.  On Zazzle we offer clothing for you, your kids, and your pets.  We also have mouse pads, mugs, buttons, magnets, aprons and more.  This store is similar to our CafePress Store.  There are some products in these stores that are not found on our products pages.

Financial Help Available

One of the new pages we posted this month is called Financial & Medical Help Available.  This is one of the most common questions we get.  This was a hard page to put together and we need your help to fill it.  We need to know about programs in your area designed to give financial or medical help to those that need it.  You send this information to us at webmaster@cure4lupus.org.

Free Lupus Awareness Downloads

We offer totally free Lupus Awareness downloads on our website.  These include desktop icons, desktop  wallpapers, customizable and printable return address labels, printable stickers, MySpace layouts, graphics and more.  These are all offered in several different designs.  Spread the Word about Lupus!
