Lupus go away! My life was different before you came.

I was young, had dreams and hope for a great future.

Now, I struggle with the thought of not being able to fulfill my dreams because you have been successful in turning my world upside down.

I dreamed of going to college ~ I began & quickly you came before I could even get started.

I dreamed of being a successful working woman, instead I took jobs for the insurance & before I could become a success you always interrupted.

I dreamed of becoming a mother to my own child one day, instead I need to face the fact that it may not ever happen and according to the doctors it shouldn't, if I want to stay alive.

I dreamed of always staying an independent woman living with Lupus. After so many years fighting against you, I now live with my parents and collect Social Security Disability. And the only job I have been able to hold down is visiting my doctors so I can keep fighting against you.

Now, I dream of staying alive until there is a cure for Lupus, so I can get rid of you once and for all! I will make sure to live my life to the fullest, fight against you everyday with all that I have, I will love, allow myself to be loved, I will continue to stay alive and live as if I am alive. And most importantly I will continue to dream & hope for a better future!
