Media Campaign Sucesses We have been writing media outlets for nearly 2 years now. We are finally getting some response. On December 9, 2009, The Doctors TV Show aired a segment about Lupus. While we would in no way take full credit for this, we are sure that getting your letters contributed to the decision to include Lupus in the show. On December 15th we also got an email from the Dr. Oz show. They stated that they were taping a segment about Lupus. They wanted permission to use pictures from our website. We wrote to this show as part of our media campaign on October 25, 2009. Again, we wouldn't claim to be the sole reason for the segment but receiving hundreds of letters about Lupus would have to make them at least think it was a worthy topic. We do not know the intended air date. After the new year we will be going back for round three on the media outlets we have covered. We will just let them know that Lupus is a serious topic that needs covered and it is not going away. We will be highlighting the recent advances of drugs that are in trials as well as the Ad Council Campaign in this round of emails.
