Couples Living with Lupus Study

Purpose of the Study

The purpose of this study is to learn more about how couples living with lupus cope. You are being invited to complete a questionnaire about the ways that you and your partner cope with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), how the illness may impact you quality of life, your relationship, and your health. This study is being conducted as part of the doctoral dissertation of Asani H. Seawell, M.A., Principal Investigator. The principal investigator is a doctoral candidate in psychology at the University at Albany, SUNY and lecturer at Grinnell College.

Eligibility

In order to participate in this study: (1) you or your partner must have been diagnosed with SLE; (2) you are currently in a committed relationship; (3) you live with your partner.

Participation

Your participation is voluntary and your responses will remain confidential and anonymous. To take part in the study, please enter you and your partner’s email addresses below. The study questionnaires will be sent to your respective email addresses. Your email addresses will not be stored, and you will not be contacted at in point in the future following your participation in the study. Completing the questionnaire indicates your consent to participate. It will take approximately 45 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
